As per my previous post, I’m gathering a collection of poems that are about Place. In case you don’t have any poems about a certain place, here are some writing prompts:
- Finish the sentence, “Home is…”
- Where is a place that I would recognise purely by the smell?
- Where is a place that I would recognise purely by the sound?
- Where is a place that’s really noisy?
- Where do I go if I want peace and quiet?
- Is there a secret place I like to go, or I wish existed?
- What’s a place that makes me feel uncomfortable
- When was the last time I got lost?
How would you describe the place to someone who has never been there before? Or to a friend? Or to a family member.
Try using the senses (feel, smell, taste, sound, look).
