Pick out one of the pictures below. Is there a story behind it? What senses can you include in the poem; what would this place feel, smell, taste, sound, and look like?
As an example, I made a poem based on this picture:
The Wind Blower
Owl has lived in the tree for so long that he has been there more frequently than the tree’s shadow.
He likes the shade of the leaves during the day when he sleeps
and at night time, he likes the sense of security they bring.
The tree is so full of juicy leaves and sweet berries that many creatures fly or climb into its foliage; Owl never goes long without a snack.
He doesn’t like it when the gardener comes along with a wind blower,
blowing the leaves around with hot air,
scaring away Owl’s lunch.
The leaves on the tree tremble with fright
knowing that one day soon, they will be next.
